eople travelling between the Cook Islands and New Zealand will not have to go into a managed isolation facility. Normal immigration rules will apply.
To be eligible, travellers must be in either the Cook Islands or New Zealand for at least 14 days before their first date of departure. People planning to travel between Australia and the Cook Islands via New Zealand will also need to have been in New Zealand for at least 14 days prior to the date of their departure.
Travel and health declarations will be required.
COVID-19 testing
Pre-departure COVID-19 testing is not required but travellers will not be eligible if they:
- are awaiting results of a COVID-19 test taken in the last 14 days,
- have tested positive in the last 14 days (unless cleared by a doctor).
Arrangements are subject to final readiness checks.
